Ade Shokoya
This 8 year old girl is on the same mentoring program as my boys. She has cerebal palsy. Despite many years of surgery and physio therpahy, her condition's getting worse as she grows. A bubbly personality who until recently was relatively independent, she's now spending the majority of her time in her wheelchair. This is seriously affecting her mental health and emotional well-being.
People with cerebral palsy use up to 300% more energy than the average person and this has taken a huge toll on this little girl. An electric wheelchair would significantly improve her quality of life. Unfortunately her application to the local authority for one has been denied a second time. So we are trying to raise funds to buy one for her.
