I think it was the best decision to close BC hangout it was very negative there.

I do think there should be some sort of Instant Chat in its place. The owners must take the time to put features in place to stop trolling and abuse, like a handful of the chatter doing the admin themselves and VPN software being blocked.

I also think it should have been shut down a long time ago, i also remember they tried to put a more upto date one in place but everyone seemed to want to stay in the old hangiut, so well done for closing it down, as i am sure many people will complain, but i know they tried to put the new one place and the didnt want, my mum would say who.cant hear will feel.

Maybe if they deleted hangout and then put the new one up? The popularity of the trial chat room may have been affected by hangout still being there.

I will say though some notice would have been good. I have chatted to a few people on there for over 10 years and with the knowledge of hangout closing I could have said bye/given out phone numbers etc.
