Black in Hospitality is a panel discussion which explores career paths, heritage and mindsets adopted to move forward and upward.

BAME in Hospitality is the UK based not for profit organisation with a mission to drive education, amplify voices, build community and accelerate racial equality.

In celebration of Black History Month, join us for a two-part series 'Black in Hospitality', where we will be joined by inspirational leaders and role models who have carved out successful careers within hospitality, food and drink.

The panel will be sharing how heritage affected their career choices, lessons learnt and mindsets adopted to move forward and upward within their careers.

Panellists include:

Robert Michelle Sullivan, Aberdeenshire based farmers specialising in microgreens and edible flowers, and who was recently featured in a Pharrell Williams and Jay-z music video.

Lerato Umah -Shaylor, a cookery writer, teacher, tv presenter and founder of Lerato Foods Naturals.

Riaz Phillips, author of books 'Belly Full' and 'Community Comfort', which has raised in excess of £40,000 for UK BAME Covid-19 victims.

Marverine Cole, is an accredited beer sommelier, award-winning journalist and broadcaster. She is a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers, and contributes to BBC good food or on television discussing beer.

The 45 -minute panel discussion will be followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
