Mental Wellbeing & Me

dagen uren resterend
2020 has been a challenging year, from the effect of Covid-19 on BME group to George Floyd. As black people, our mental wellness matters.

BPS is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an hour long session where experts will share with us more about our mental wellness and how we as Black people can look after ourselves and those around us.

Mental health is not something we speak about in the Black community and that in itself is a silent killer.

As Black people in the UK, we live with daily unique challenges and 2020 compounded those challenges, first with Covid-19 and its effect on our community and then the death of George Floyd which brought to light the pain we all harbour but which we hardly ever talk about.

With all the economic uncertainties caused by Covid-19, anxiety levels across the world has increased and we hope this event will support us on our journey towards a healthier mental state.

This is in partnership with Baba Yangu Foundation.
