The UK National Diversity Awards UK (please vote @ https://tinyurl.com/jnn9sj85 ) celebrates the excellent achievements of grass- root communities that tackle the issues in today’s society, giving them recognition for their dedication and hard work. The Medway African & Caribbean Association (MACA) is a non-profit charity in Medway, Kent dedicated to promoting an awareness of African and Caribbean Culture through arts, educational and social programmes which are very accessible to the wider community. Events have included ‘Black History Live’ a project that focused on the history and legacy of African and Caribbean people across Kent during the 19th and 20th centuries plus the upcoming ‘Sankofa 16th Annual Young Black Achievers Awards’ 2021.
